National Voters Day : 25 January

National Voters’ day is celebrated in India on 25th Jan since the year 2011 to mark the foundation day of Election Commission of India.

The theme for 2020 National Voters Day is "Electoral Literacy for Stronger Democracy" aims to promote the electoral process among newly eligible young voters in the country.

The National Voters Day marks the foundation day of the Election Commission of India (ECI). ECI was founded on 25 January 1950. The day was first observed on 25 January 2011.
