International Day of Education : 24 January

International Day of Education is observed on 24 January every year.

This is the 2nd year when the world will celebrate ‘Education Day’.

International Day of Education 2020's theme is “Learning for people, planet, prosperity and peace”.

On Dec 3, 2018, United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution declaring this day as ‘International Day of Education.’ The UNGA proclaimed it, in celebration of the role of education for peace and development.
