03 December : International Day of Persons with Disabilities

International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPWD) 2019 is celebrated every year on December 03 worldwide. 

This day is celebrated to bring changes in people's behavior towards the Divyang and to make them aware of their rights. 

This day is celebrated with the objective of compassion for the disabled, self-esteem and support to improve their lives.

The United Nations has been observing IDPWD since 1992 after passing United Nations General Assembly resolution 47/3
