UNESCO and DD to telecast TV Show on Gandhi’s 150th Anniversary
UNESCO and Doordarshan, country’s public service broadcaster has join hands to telecast TV bilingual programme ‘Mahatma Lives‘ or ‘Bapu Zinda Hain’ on 1-2 October 2019.
The bilingual programme - 'Mahatma Lives'/'Bapu Zinda Hain' - will be telecast on October 1 at 10 pm and repeated on October 2 at 5 pm across the country on DD News
It is an hour-long bilingual television programme that will feature rarely heard audio clips of Mahatma Gandhi.
The clips include his speech from 1947, before Independence (i.e. before 15 August 1947), in which he addresses corporate leaders and exhorts them to give wealth for welfare of the society.
Other clips include Gandhi talking about music and his speech on the caste system and eternal set of duties (Sanatam Dharam) on 7 June 1947.
