Syed Wajih Ahmad Naqvi and Dr. Sohini Ganguly received National Geoscience Awards 2018

Two scientists from across the country were awarded the National Geoscience Awards for the year 2018.

He was honored for his outstanding contributions in geology, mining and allied fields.

Professor Syed Wajih Ahmed Naqvi of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) received the Excellence Award for his significant global contribution in the field of aquatic biochemical research.

Dr. Sohini Ganguly of Goa University was awarded the Young Scientist Award-2018 for her significant work in the fields of petrology, volcanoes and geochemistry.

The award was presented by Shri Pralhad Joshi, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines.
