Sardar Patel National Unity Award to be bestowed for national integration

To encourage national unity and integrity, Sardar Patel Rashtriya Samman is being started on the lines of Padma Awards.

The award will be given to individuals or institutions for notable contribution to the unity and integrity of the country.

It states that any person without distinction of color, occupation, status or gender will be eligible for this award.
