Odia writer Pradeep Dash will be honored with the 40th edition of the prestigious Sarala Award for his poem Kriti Charu Chibar O Charjya.

The annual award, includes a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh and a citation.

About the Sarla Award
The annual Sarla Award instituted in 1979 by noted Odia industrialist Late Bansidhar Panda and late Ila Panda has been consistently conferred by the Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT).

The Sarla Award is recognized as Odisha's Leading Literary Award.

The award is one of the best contributions of Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT) to make Odia literature proud.
