Lieutenant General Manoj Mukund becomes the new army vice chief

Lieutenant General Manoj Mukund Narao has been appointed Vice Chief of the Army Staff.

He replaces Lieutenant General Devaraj Ambu, who retired on August 31.

Lieutenant General Naravan was leading the Eastern Command of the Indian Army.

He has played an important role in the anti-terrorist operations in the North-East and Jammu and Kashmir.

He is honored for his work at J&K
