Lata Mangeshkar will be honoured with ' Daughter of the Nation ' Title

Lata Mangeshkar will be conferred the title as a tribute to her contribution to Indian film music over seven decades. 

Singer Lata Mangeshkar is known not only for her country but also for her harmonious outlook in the world.

Government has plans to honour legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar with the "Daughter of the Nation" title when she turns 90 on September 28.
