India's first garbage cafe to be opened in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh
In a unique initiative, Ambikapur Municipal Corporation of Chhattisgarh will open its first of its kind 'Garbage Cafe'.
This initiative is a step towards making the city plastic free.
In this unique cafe, poor people and waste pickers will get free food in exchange for one kilogram of plastic, while breakfast will be provided by bringing half a kilogram of plastic to the cafe.
The plastic waste collected will later be converted into a solution and then used to build roads in the city
Ambikapur is the first dustbin-free city of Chhattisgarh.
