21 September : International Peace Day

World Peace Day or International Peace Day is celebrated on September 21 of each year.

This day is regarded as a model of freedom, peace and happiness in all countries and peoples.

Since 1982, World Peace Day was celebrated every year on the third Tuesday of September. It was later changed to 21 September in 2002. Since 2002, this day is celebrated every year on 21 September.

The theme of International Peace Day 2019 is "Climate Action for Peace". 

This topic focuses on how to protect and promote peace around the world and the importance of tackling climate change.
