Serbia becomes 73rd country to join AIIB
Serbia officially became the 73rd non-regional member of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
Serbia adopted the law on ratification of the Founding Act of AIIB, depositing the instrument of accession and paying the first installment of its share in the bank's capital.
Membership allows the country access to favorable loans for priority projects.
AIIB began operations in 2016 and in addition to Serbia, its non-regional members include Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and others.
